Focal point on patient treatment and teaching:

Histological (microscopic) and molecular-pathological diagnostics on operative or endoscopically removed tissue from current patients (in vivo diagnostics) to clarify e.g. malignant tumours, inflammatory changes, deformations etc. Monitoring macroscopic and microscopic section findings. Major lecture in pathology.

 

Scientific focal points:

  • Molecular tumour pathology with examinations of cytostatic resistance, predictive medicine testing and tumour-associated genetic changes.
  • New diagnostic procedures in histological and molecular-pathological diagnostics of malignant tumours with a particular focus on gyneacopathology.
  • Technical development of telepathology systems.
